We tend not to use manual vehicles as you can train and pass in a fully Automatic vehicle or Semi-Automatic and still receive a fully manual licence. We operate with Semi-Automatic vehicles and fully Automatic vehicles.
PLEASE BE AWARE
The process of getting your MEDICAL and PROVISIONAL LICENCE generally takes 3 WEEKS. It also generally takes another 3 WEEKS for the availbility of THEORY & HAZARD PERCEPTION TESTS. These time scales are a rough guide it may take longer.
The theory test has two parts: a multiple choice part and hazard perception test. You don’t have to take both parts of the test on the same day but you must take them within two years of each other to get your theory test certificate.
It’s vital to prepare for your theory test; it may be a while since you last refreshed your knowledge of the rules of the road. The better prepared you are, the more likely you are to pass first time, which will save you the time and money that retaking the test will cost.
We use Semi-Automatic and also Fully Automatic vehicles for training and test purposes. You still receive a full manual HGV/LGV licence providing you have a manual car (B) licence.
HGV/LGV driver training is excecuted in the training style normally reffered to as a 'crash course'. We train normally for 4 or 5 consecutive days at 3 - 4 hour intervals per day. Different categories may require different training styles and we can mould your training to suit your individual requirements.
Courses are charged at a 4 or 5 day rate for categories C & C+E. Refresher courses and familiarisation training is charged by the hour to apply to the individuals requirements to save the unrequired costs.
